Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
CatalogDrift.io (“we,” “us”) provides a service that monitors e-commerce product pages you tell us about and alerts you to meaningful changes. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo as provided by Google.
- Organization information: your company/organization name, and the email addresses of teammates you invite.
- Product and store data: the URLs you ask us to monitor, and the publicly-published data we extract from those pages (prices, availability, images, SEO metadata) — never anything behind a login or paywall on your site.
- Billing information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — only what plan you're on and your subscription status.
- Messages you send us: anything you submit through our contact form, including your name, email, and message content.
- Usage data: basic technical logs (timestamps, error rates) needed to operate and debug the service.
How we use it
- To operate the core service: scanning your products and sending you alerts.
- To bill you, via Stripe, for paid plans.
- To generate AI-written explanations of confirmed changes (paid plans only) — see “AI processing” below.
- To respond to support requests sent through our contact form.
- To send you product emails: change alerts, a weekly digest, and account notices.
We do not sell your personal information, ever.
AI processing
On paid plans, when a monitored product changes in a way that clears our severity threshold, we send the already-detected change (old value, new value, what field changed) to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a plain-English explanation. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models under our agreement with them. We never send AI providers your account credentials, billing details, or anything beyond the specific product-change data needed to write that explanation.
Third parties we share data with
These are the services that process data on our behalf to run CatalogDrift.io:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Resend — sending transactional email (alerts, invites, the weekly digest).
- Anthropic — generating AI change explanations (paid plans only).
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Google — if you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in.
- Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Atlassian (Jira) — only if you choose to connect one of these yourself; we then send alert content to the destination you configured.
Data retention
We keep your account and product-monitoring history for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (e.g. billing records) for legal or tax purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us — see “Contact us” below.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, database access controls, row-level security) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do, and for material changes, we'll notify you by email.
